NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. — The 99th Medical Support Squadron Logistics Flight was awarded the 2012 Air Combat Command Large Medical Logistics Account of the Year during a ceremony March 4.

Col. John Degoes (Dr.), 99th Medical Group commander presented the award to the medical logistics Airmen at the Mike O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center and congratulated them on their efforts throughout the past year.

This annual award is given to large and small medical logistic account flights that excel in all areas of its field from medical maintenance and customer service to written contracts.

The medical logistics Airmen competed against 12 other bases, and their hard work was recognized.

“This award has boosted our Airmen’s confidence and validates the hard work that we put in,” said Senior Master Sgt. Andre Mitchell, logistics flight chief.

The medical logistics flight continues to make improvements by focusing on customer service and bettering the way methods and procedures are done.

“One of our basic goals is to continue to stay customer focused, no matter if you’re the Airman working directly with the customer or you’re the first line supervisor. It’s all about the customer,” said Tech.
Sgt. Jarom Boyes, logistics flight NCO in charge of medical maintenance.
